The Sai Masu Gida’s defender is delighted with the partial lifting of the ban which prevented their fans from watching them play

Kano Pillars ’ Chinedu Udoji commends the League Management Company for lifting their stadium ban ahead of their tie against Enugu Rangers.

Crowd restiveness on April 9th in their home loss to Akwa United forced the LMC to order Sai Masu Gida to play their home games behind closed doors but the league’s body wrote the former league champions that they are free to play their next two home games before their fans to gauge the fans’ level of compliance.

“It is a very pleasant news that we shall be having the presence of our fans to watch us against Rangers. We have missed their services because their support has helped us in the time past. We have learnt from our past mistakes and I believe the fans can act as the 12th man to lead us to victory against difficult Rangers,” Udoji told Goal.

“We cannot compare having the presence of our fans at our games with not having them. We have struggled to win games at home due to the ban on our fans. I am happy and others are equally thrilled too to have them back for our subsequent matches in the league this season. I must praise the LMC for the taking the bull by the horn. This gesture will make the players happy knowing that we are going to get the support of our fans from the stands.”

Pillars are 11th on the league table with 38 points from 27 Nigeria Professional Football League games.
