Palermo make fifth manager change of the season as Lopez given the boot

Diego Lopez has become the fourth coaching casualty of trigger-happy Serie A side Palermo this season.

He stepped down as chairman in February after overseeing more than 40 managerial swaps in 15 years, but his departure hasn't changed the club's tendency to bin coaches.

Lopez has been relieved of his duties after just 10 games in charge, although he did suffer seven defeats during that run, with at least three goals conceded in each of those reversals.

A sorry run has left Palermo 19th in the table and eight points from safety with seven games to play.
