Outgoing AFC Leopards CEO to reconsider fresh application

AFC Leopards Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ronald Namai will re-consider applying for the same position which is expected to fall vacant by the end of the year.

Kenyan Premier League giant advertised application for the post at Vission Plaza and Namai says he will give it a thought.

Namai, however, said that the position has been advertised in line with the newly adopted club’s constitution which transferred some of the functions from the National Executive Committee to the CEO’s office.

“What we are doing is corporate governance.We Adopted a new constitution last June which transferred most of the functions advertised on the CEO’s desk.

“I will re-apply just like any other candidate and if am successful then I will retain the job,” said Namai.

Previously, holder of that office had a yearly renewable contract with the club.

The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in management and with experience in resource mobilization /funding /sponsorship.

He/she must have at least three years experience in management experience within a sporting organization/Institute/National Sports Governing Body will be an added advantage

Other qualifications are having a reputation for recruiting, resource mobilization or growth within an organization; knowledge of coach education/development frameworks, pathways and accreditation.

Being a fully paid up member of the club will be an added advantage.
