Barcelona are missing some big names for their trip to Pamplona but they should be able to claim a win in a low scoring match against Los Rojillos

Barcelona head to El Sadar this weekend to face Osasuna in the first match on Saturday afternoon in La Liga.

Ernesto Valverde will be without the injured Lionel Messi and the champions come up against a side who have not lost a home league same since April 2018.

Jagoba Arrasate's men won 17 consecutive home games last season on their way to being crowned champions of the Segunda Division and have made a solid return to the top flight, collecting four points from a possible six to sit above Barca in the table.

Latest odds

Despite some high-profile absentees, the Catalans remains huge favourites with bet365 pricing them at 1/3 (1.33) to claim all three points. Osasuna are offered at 9/1 (10.00) with the draw available at 4/1 (5.00).

Osasuna vs Barcelona Team News

As well missing Messi, the Liga champions are also set to be without his forward partners in Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele. It is highly probable Valverde plays the same starting eleven as last weekend, with Antoine Griezmann accompanied upfront by Rafinha and youngster Carles Perez.

For the hosts, Inigo Perez, Unai Garcia, Kike Barja and Luis Perea are missing, although Oier Sanjurjo looks set to return in midfield.

Osasuna vs Barcelona Preview

Osasuna will feel that the injuries to Barca's forward line offer them a chance to get something from the game, although Los Rojillos themselves have been somewhat lacking in the final third.

The Pamplona outfit beat Leganes on the opening day of the season with a fantastic long-range strike from Chimy Avila, but that was their only real effort on goal and last weekend they were wasteful in a 0-0 draw at home to Eibar.

Barcelona were superb in sweeping away Betis 5-2 and had no problems scoring despite missing three players who netted 70 per cent of their league goals last season.

El Sadar is traditionally one of Spain's most intimidating and atmospheric grounds yet Barca should have enough to record a win, albeit maybe with fewer goals than last week.
