Orlando Pirates join the race for KV Oostende star Jali

The Buccaneers are said to be keen to resign the Bafana Bafana international, who spent four-and-a-half years with the club

Orlando Pirates have reportedly joined the race for KV Oostende midfielder Andile Jali.

The 27-year-old player is expected to leave the Belgian First Division A club during the upcoming Transfer Window.

His agent Mike Makaab of Prosport International has confirmed that the central midfielder has offers from Europe and South Africa.

The Citizen source has sincelearned that Bucs along with Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are all vying for Jali's signature.

“He’s a quality player, and there’s no doubt that the big teams will want to sign him if he’s available," the source said.

"His camp is still holding out for a European move, but if that doesn’t materialise, he will come back to South Africa,” the source concluded.

The hard-working midfielder was a fan-favourite at Pirates, before he left the club for Oostende in January, 2014.

Jali made 133 appearances for Bucs - netting 11 goals in the process.
