The Olukoya Boys’ attacker says he still has his best years ahead of him and that he is still in top shape for his club

MFM’s Sikiru Olatunbosun says he is in his best condition and very ready for their Wednesday Nigeria Professional Football League tie against  FC Ifeanyiubah  in Lagos.

Olatunbosun and his teammates have not produced what made them one of the outstanding teams of last season’s campaign but the striker has expressed confidence that they will soon hit top form again starting from their game with the Anambra Warriors.

“I will say that not many people thought we could do what we did last season and this has made people to specially focus attention on us. We have not started the season in the best way possible too but we are calm about it that our game with FC Ifeanyiubah will produce what will turnaround our season for the better,” Olatunbosun told Goal.

“There is no doubt about it, last season was our best in the topflight and we know that for us to repeat it again this season will be difficult. We do not doubt our ability and it is the reason we are doing everything possible to bounce back as soon as possible.

“We have played FC Ifeanyiubah on a few occasions and they have proved to be very tough opponents. They will be coming with the same mentality this time and we will be ready for them.”

On his slow start to the season, Olatunbosun said: “I have always given my best to MFM and I will continue to do so. I won’t say my form dropped. It is the entire team and we are working on fixing things. We are going to see a different team and different approach too which will team to our second home win.

“We are still MFM and we still believe we have the ability to repeat what we did last season. No game or result we come easy but we will continue to do our best to ensure that we get good results both home and away,” he said.
