Ola Aina’s first career goal nominated for Hull City's Goal of the Month

Ola Aina’s effort against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup third round has been nominated for Hull City’s Goal of the Month award for January.

The Nigeria international who is on a season-long loan from Chelsea, scored the Tigers’ only goal against the Rovers after connecting with Jon Toral's corner with a header.

Aina’s 58th minute goal at the Ewood Park on January 6 propelled Nigel Adkins’ side to the fourth round of the FA Cup where they defeated Nottingham Forest 2-1.

The Super Eagles defender is in contention for the award with teammates Jarrod Bowen and Nouha Dicko.

Hull City will continue their FA Cup campaign against Chelsea on February 16 after their league visit to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
