Five more players are out of Harambee Stars' squad ahead of two friendly matches

Harambee Stars head coach Stanley Okumbi has dropped five local-based players ahead of their friendly matches against Uganda and DRC.

Conspicuously present in the dropped list is Tusker midfielder Humphrey Mieno, with an indication that the player suffered an ankle injury.

AFC Leopards youngster Vincent Oburu has also been dropped without explaining reason for the same. Others include Sammy Meja, Maurice Ojwang and Jeremiah Wanjala.

The match against Uganda will be played on Thursday then that against DR Congo will be played on Sunday both at Machakos Stadium.

Both visiting teams have arrived in the country ahead of the matches. DRC arrived on Monday while Uganda touched down on Tuesday.

Harambee Stars will also be without the services of Erick 'Marcelo' Ouma, Ayub Timbe and Erick Johanna, who requested that they be given time to settle in their new clubs.
