Nzoia Sugar head coach Bernard Mwalala has lauded his charges for a good performance that saw his side claim maximum points against relegation-threatened Thika United.
After a barren draw in the first half, the western-based side came back stronger in the second half and managed to score three in the last twenty minutes.
The tactician is however not impressed with the way his team played the first forty-five minutes.
"We were very fortunate not to concede in the first half, we played badly and let them (Thika) create chances.
"I think their main undoing was that they were not clinical in front of the goal and that is what in the end saved us, otherwise things would have been different.
"The urgency portrayed by my side in the second half was good, and we were rewarded in the end."
Nzoia is now placed seventh on the log with nineteen points.
