Wilfred Ndidi has expressed his delight after returning from a hamstring injury in Nigeria’s 1-0 loss to Czech Republic on Wednesday.

The midfielder featured from start to finish as Gernot Rohr’s men succumbed to their second consecutive defeat in their final pre-World Cup friendly at the Rudolf-Tonn-Stadion.

The 21-year-old was last involved in a game on April 28 when Leicester City lost to Crystal Palace, where he picked up the injury which ruled him out for the remainder of the recently concluded season.

The former Genk player missed the Super Eagles friendlies against Congo DR and England, and has taken to the social media to reveal his feeling after overcoming the setback.

“Feels good to be back on the pitch,” Ndidi tweeted.

Ndidi will be hoping to play a part when the Super Eagles open their World Cup campaign with Croatia on June 16.
