Nigeria’s Sylvester Igboun nets in FC Ufa’s draw

The 26- year-old strike was not enough as Gorozhane settled for a draw with the Orange and Black in Saturday’s Russia’s topflight duel

Nigeria international, Sylvester Igboun was on the scorer’s sheet as FC Ufa played a 1-1 draw with Ural in the Russia Premier League.

The forward put Sergei Semak’s men in front with a 17th minute effort but an inconsistency at the back line denied them the maximum points.

Georgia’s defender, Jemal Tabidze scored an own-goal late in the game to cancel out Igboun’s strike in the tense duel that saw three of the players cautioned in the outing.

The results leave Gorozhane on the sixth spot on the log with five points from three matches.

Neftyanik Stadium giants will be hoping to improve on this performance in their next encounter with Akhmat Grozny on August 5.
