Nigeria U17 women hammer Abuja ladies in friendly

Bala Nkiyu's side trashed their local women side in a friendly to concluded preparations for qualifier meeting with Ethiopia on Sunday

Nigeria's U17 women's national team Flamingoes hammered an Abuja selected ladies 5-0 in a local friendly ahead of Sunday's clash with Ethiopia.

Patricia Innocent scored a brace while Esther Onyenezide, Precious Vincent and Dorshima Tarnum got a goal each to seal the victory for Bala Nikyu's ladies in Abuja.

The friendly is the second and final test match for the Flamingoes as they prepare to face the east Africans in first round, first leg of the U17 Women's World Cup qualifier.

With the back-to-back friendly wins, Nikyu's side will confident of subduing their Ethiopian opponents in the first leg at the Addis Ababa Stadium.
