Nigeria's senior team preparations for the World Cup will be an international friendly with Poland on March 23, the Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed.
The Super Eagles, who were drawn against Argentina, Croatia, and Iceland in Group D of the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia will face the Europeans in Warsaw.
Poland are zoned against Senegal, Colombia, and Japan in Group H and they confront South Korea and Lithuania after the showdown with Gernot Rohr's men.
The Super Eagles will later play three more friendly matches before they leave for Russia in June and the opponents and venues are yet to be announced.
“The World Cup is the big one next year and I believe we are going to be very ready when the tournament kicks off," said NFF president Amaju Pinnick in a statement.
"We have lined up four friendly matches starting with the game with Poland in Warsaw on March 23. There will be other matches on March 27, May 28 (in Nigeria) and June 2."
Nigeria will commence their World Cup campaign against Croatia at the Kaliningrad Stadium on June 16 before they confront Iceland at Volgograd Arena and later Argentina at Krestovsky Stadium.
