The Nigeria Football Federation has vowed to lend its helping hand to the Nigeria Pitch Awards.
Known for its objectivity, the annual award ceremony staged to reward key players in the country’s football sector has not been unnoticed by the NFF boss who has thumbed up the organization of the event.
In his remarks during the fifth edition staged at Le Meridien Ogeyi Place, Port Harcourt, Amaju Pinnick - who won the Samuel Okwaraji prize for his unflinching efforts toward the growth of Nigeria football, has praised the works of the awards’ organisers.
“We will not only associate with you, we will also do one or two things for you.
“The awards have been running for the past few years and they (organizers) have been very consistent.”
Present at the ceremony were Super Eagles’ head coach, Gernot Rohr, William Troost – Ekong, Leon Balogun, Wilfred Ndidi, Ikechuwku Ezenwa and some of the team’s backroom staff.
The Nigeria Pitch Awards is organized annually by Matchmakers Consult International to reward excellence, talent and industry among football players and officials.
