The Ikon Allah trainer has admitted his side underrated their visitors after they were forced to a draw in Lokoja on Sunday

Niger Tornadoes head coach Abubakar Bala has lamented his side's poor show following their disappointing 1-1 home draw against Katsina United on Sunday.

On the back of an exciting 1-1 draw away to Enugu Rangers, the Ikon Allah boys were forced to a draw by Baldwin Bazuaye's men in a week six clash at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium.

After the unsatisfactory performance, coach Bala said they have learned their lessons with a promise to right their wrongs against Remo Stars.

"It was a bad day for us. We [Niger Tornadoes] took the [Katsina United] match lightly," Bala told Goal.

“They [Tornadoes] relaxed based on the good results they had against Wikki Tourists [2-0 home win] and Enugu Rangers [1-1 draw away].

“It was only in the second half that my boys came out to keep the ball on the ground and play to instruction.

“It is football. At times, you plan for something and get another thing on the pitch.

“It is not too bad [result] if we can pick away draw, then some people can pick something or we can also drop point at home too.

“The most important thing is about learning our lesson from the game. We should prepare well and plans to go and get a good result in our next game.

“We will go back to the drawing board and make another plan for our next match against Remo Stars.”
