Nakumatt optimistic ahead of AFC Leopards clash

The Nakumatt meeting will be Ingwe's first match of the season

Nakumatt FC are hopeful of recording victory when they meet titans AFC Leopards in league match slated for Sunday 19, at Thika Municipal Stadium.

The Shoppers suffered a 0-1 defeat against Bandari FC last weekend but they feel stronger as they prepare to lock horns with Ingwe. “It was a disappointing start, as we suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Bandari FC in our SPL opening match, played on Saturday 11th at Mbaraki Stadium.

“Despite the loss we keep our heads high as we prepare for our next match hosting AFC Leopards on Sunday 19th March at 15:00hrs," a post on their official facebook page read.

That will be AFC Leopards’ first match of the season having rested in Week 1 due to Ulinzi Stars’ absence.

It will be fascinating to see how they play owing to the fact that the Shoppers beat them in a pre-season match with their former player Kepha Aswani being on target.
