Shikanda expressed his optimism over the possibility of claiming maximum points

Nairobi Stima head coach Ibrahim Shikanda is confident his team will be among the top two in the National Super League by the end of the season.

The Nairobi power men suffered a shock 2-1 defeat against GFE 105 last weekend, but are still placed in the second position on the log with 61 points, six behind leaders Western Stima.

Speaking ahead of their weekend outing against Bidco United, Shikanda expressed his optimism over the possibility of claiming maximum points.

"Last season we made a mistake and learnt from them, this time around we are not going to repeat the same.

“As a matter of fact, we want a top two finish, not anything less than that. We slipped last weekend against GFE but that has not killed our confidence and morale.

"Bidco is a good team, it plays almost the same way as we do and the best way to ensure we get maximum points is by taking our chances."

The match against Bidco will be played at Thika Stadium on Saturday.
