Mwinyi interest fades as AFC Leopards eyes Ghanaian

Kenyan Premier League side AFC Leopards is eyeing former Hearts of Oak defender Isaac Oduro.

The 24 year-old left back has been club less since his release from the Ghanaian side after suffering a career threatening injury that has since then healed.

Ingwe chairman Dan Mule has told Goal that the intelligent defender, who is known for his almost perfect set piece taking skills has verbally agreed to join the team.

"Yes, we are really close in signing Oduro, he has verbally agreed everything with us and what is remaining is for him to sign a contract. If we manage to sign him then we will not need Haji (Mwinyi), because that void will be filled.

"We want to build a stronger team for the domestic as well as continental assignments."

Zambian club Nkana was eyeing the defender but failed to agree on a few critical issues.
