Muhoroni Youth and Mathare United end it even

Mathare United and Muhoroni Youth shot blanks on Saturday at Muhoroni Stadium

Mathare United failed to collect maximum points against Muhoroni Youth in a Kenyan Premier League match played on Saturday.

The 'Slum Boys' came into the match fresh from a 2-1 defeat in the hands of Sofapaka last weekend, with Muhoroni Youth, who fell 3-0 away to Bandari, also aiming at bouncing back.

It was the visitors who started the match on a high note with Daniel Mwaura and Derrick Onyango using their pace well, as Chrispin Oduor ensured the team stays compact. However, the 2008 champions failed to capitalize on numerous chances created in their final third.

On the other end, Muhoroni Youth had their fair chances as Kennedy Rono became a menace all afternoon but failed to get that vital shot past the goalkeeper.

It turned out to be a boring afternoon for the fans as no team looked sharp enough in front of the goal.

At the end of the day all sides shared the spoils with Mathare United now having five points from four matches while  the Awasi-based side have four.
