Benjamin Moukandjo scored the winner as Jiangsu Suning recorded a 2-1 away victory over Chongqing Lifan  in a Chinese Super League encounter on Saturday.

Roger Martinez opened the scoring for the visitors seven minutes after kick off. Song Nan restored parity for the Chongqing Olympic Sports Center outfit in the 32nd minute.

But with few minutes before the break, Moukandjo made no mistake from the penalty spot as he slotted past Chongqing’s Xiaofei Deng to hand Fabio Capello’s men the three points.

The Cameroon skipper ensured he continues his bright start to life in the Chinese topflight after netting on his debut last week thus, taking his tally to two from two games.

The 28-year-old will be hoping to rescue the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre outfit’s season after the last year’s league runners-up are caught up at the other end of the log. They are placed 13th with 17 points from 19 games.

In their next topflight encounter, they visit Shanghai Shenxin on August 1.
