MLS All Stars v Real Madrid Betting: Los Blancos capable of ending tour on a high

Zinedine Zidane's side will want to put in a good performance in their final friendly of pre-season and we are backing them to get among the goals

Real Madrid play their final game of pre-season in Chicago ahead of next week's UEFA Super Cup against Manchester United.

The preparations for that first competitive game of what is set to be a long campaign have not gone ideally in terms of results, with Madrid losing all three matches they played in the International Champions Cup.

Nevertheless, manager Zinedine Zidane will feel that those results are of little consequence if his team can hit the ground running against United on August 8, and fans of Los Blancos should not be alarmed at the side's failure to win a friendly match so far.

They should though be capable of recording a win against an MLS All Star team which has been selected by US fans and which boasts some familiar faces.

Former Real Madrid midfielder Kaka will be in the starting XI alongside Spain striker David Villa and former Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger. But despite boasting some big names, the US side are clear outsiders with Betsafe offering them at 23/5 (5.60) while Madrid can be backed at 6/11 (1.55) and the draw is offered at 31/10 (4.10) .

As he has done in all of the matches so far in the US, expect Zidane to field a strong starting XI with changes likely to come late in the second half. Madrid should be able to record the win, but they will hope to do so by scoring a few goals in the process to try and end the tour on a high.

The European champions are offered at 4/11 (1.36) to score over 1.5 goals and at a more appealing 11/10 (2.10) to score three goals or more in the game. While the All Stars have some big names in the final third, they look a little vulnerable defensively and against a team that has scored in every game they have played for the last fifteen months, they could be in for a difficult time.

Furthermore, the All Stars are not a side that regularly play together and that could add to a lack of understanding between the players, particularly at the back, where Madrid will hope to capitalise.
