MFM's Onuwa eyes derby victory over Remo stars

With a hard fought win over Katsina United at the Agege Stadium on Monday, the Olukoya Boys turn their attention to Sagamu against Fatai Osho's men

Chukwuka Onuwa sets his sights on nothing but victory as MFM tackle Remo Stars in a mouthwatering derby clash on Sunday.

The Agege based outfit labored to a 3-2 win over Katsina United thanks to a 79th minute strike by the attacking midfielder.

But on Sunday, Fidelis Illechuckwu's men have a stern test against the Sky Blue Stars, considering their poor record away from home and the nature of the encounter.

"After the game against Katsina United, we were in very high spirits and we are very motivated for the game, we want three points to keep pressure on the league leaders," Onuwa told Goal

"Remo Stars are a fantastic side with young and dynamic talents, forget their league position this will be a difficult game, but the team is fired up because we know how important this is and it's also a derby so that is extra motivation.

"We have not been playing well away from home but we are in high spirits and we believe we can break that jinx and get maximum points from Sagamu.

"We also have beaten them already once this season so that gives us a belief we can do it again," he concluded.
