EXTRA TIME: Meyrick Pringle hopes Coutinho stays at Liverpool

We seem to have a number of South African cricket legends who support Liverpool Football Club

Remember Meyrick Pringle? He is the former SA fast bowler who participated at the 1992 Cricket World Cup in Australia.

The Western Province player was known for a wicked swing delivery and made the most of it in conditions Down Under, where South Africa eventually lost in the semi-final against England.

Anyway Pringle's come to our attention after retweeting posts on Liverpool Football Club. He's lately hoping that Brazilian attacking midfielder Coutinho stays at Liverpool.

In fact he's read online that all the rumours about Barcelona are unfounded. Pringle's also keeping an eye on Liverpool's hopes to get in a better central defender, particularly with Southampton's Virgil Van Dijk on the radar.

Another South African cricket star who supports Liverpool is former Proteas captain Graeme Smith.
