Medeama not getting carried away after upsetting league leaders Ashanti Gold

The Yellow and Mauves coach shares his thoughts on their ambitions for the new campaign

Medeama coach Samuel Boadu says it is too early for his outfit to talk up their title chances in the Ghana Premier League.

The Yellow and Mauves have moved just a point off leaders Ashanti Gold following a 2-1 home triumph over the Miners on Saturday.

Kwasi Donsu scored the winner from the spot in stoppage time after Richard Djodi cancelled out Justice Blay's opener for the Tarkwa-based side.

“We are nowhere in the season to talk about title chances. We are just focused on a game-by-game basis,” Boadu said, as reported by his club's official website.

“It was a difficult game against Ashanti Gold but we managed to break their resolve.

"We have put the win behind us and focused on our next game against Ebusua Dwarfs on Thursday.

“Like I said, we are staying grounded and not getting carried away. There are still few areas we need to work on going forward.
