Mbekile: Sundowns have not been affected by Dolly's departure

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Asavela Mbekile tells Goal that they already miss Keagan Dolly, but he doesn't think his departure has affected the team in any way.

The former Bafana Bafanan player feels Sundowns have players that will easily fill Dolly's big boots.

“It hasn’t really affected us, but we are going to miss him [beacuse] the majority of the games that he played for us last season, we won them,” Mbekile told Goal.

“We have players now in the team that can play in his position and do well for us. I don’t think we are really going to struggle without him,” Mbekile said.

Meanwhile, Mbekile has been hugely impressed with Algerian left-back Fares Hachi, who scooped the man of the match accolade for his stellar display against the Chippa United on Tuesday night.

“He is a quality player. I remember we played them in Algeria. He gave us problems on the day. He was one of their best players," he said.

“So, he is a quality player and we just need to give him time so that he can adjust and we can see the best of him... and we will see the best out of him,” Mbekile concluded.
