Mathare United midfielder to start for Harambee Stars in Cecafa

Mathare United midfielder Crispin Oduor has been handed his maiden national team debut as Kenya takes on Libya in the second match of Cecafa Senior Challenge.

Harambee Stars head coach, Paul Put made a single change in the starting line-up, dropping Ulinzi Stars’ Samuel Onyango in favor of Oduor.

Oduor had a successful season with Mathare United where he scored 11 league goals in the just ended season. Masoud Juma of Kariobangi Sharks and Gor Mahia forward George ‘Blackberry’ Odhiambo will lead Kenya’s attack.

Duncan Otieno scorer of Stars’ 2-0 win over Rwanda, has also been handed a second consecutive start.

Kenya starting XI: Patrick Matasi, Musa Mohammed, Jockins Atudo, Denis Shikayi, Wesley Onguso, Duncan Otieno, Patillah Omotto, George Odhiambo, Yvonne Issuza, Crispin Oduor and Masoud Juma.

Reserves: Boniface Oluoch, Gabriel Andika, Said Tsuma, Benard Ochieng, Ovella Ochieng, Samuel Onyango, Isaac Kipyegon, Wellington Ochieng, Ernest Wendo, Charles Momanyi, Vincent Oburu and Kepha Aswani.

Libya starting XI: Ahmed Azzaqah (G), Eltribi Ahmed, Ajbarah Saed, Aljmal Tariq, Sabbou Motasem, Shafshuf Suhib, Albadri Faisal (C), Madeen Muhanad, Tubal Moahmed, Mohamed Amer and Almaryami Khalid.
