Mathare United eager to beat Gor Mahia

Mathare United are locking horns with Gor Mahia at Thika Sub-county Stadium on Sunday

Mathare United captain George ‘Wise’ Owino has kept his fingers crossed as they face Gor Mahia on Sunday.

The ‘Slum Boys’ have not had the best of results in their recent matches and ‘Wise’ believes that a win or a decent result against Gor Mahia will ‘open doors’ for them. He urges fans to stand with them at this time with a promise that good results will soon start trickling their way.

"A win against Gor Mahia will give us the confidence and open the doors for us in the league. I would like to urge the fans to come support us despite not having a good start. I promise them that we will give our level best in the coming matches," he told the club’s official facebook page.

The match will be played at Thika Sub-county Stadium as from 2:00pm.
