Maritzburg United sign Thabiso Kutumela from Orlando Pirates

Maritzburg United have confirmed the signing of Thabiso Kutumela from Orlando Pirates

According to club CEO Younus Kadiodia, the deal has been finalised, and Kutumela is now their player.

Kadodia, however, didn't disclose the details of Kutumela's contract when asked if Maritzburg landed the player on a permanent deal or on a short-term loan.

"Yes (we have signed Kutumela), but we will release a statement during the course of the day," Kadodia told Goal.

The official statement was released on Monday afternoon with Kutumela having already joined his new teammates at the training grounds.

Kutumela managed only six appearances in all competitions for Pirates this season without finding the back of the net.

However, the six appearances came towards the end of 2018 after a long injury lay-off.

He will be tasked with scoring goals and helping the Team of Choice move away from the relegation zone.

Muhsin Ertugral's men find themselves in the 16th position on the PSL standings with 14 league games still to play.

They have lost their first two matches of 2019, but with a win in their next match could see them jump above Chippa United and into the 15th place.

Meanwhile, Maritzburg United also unveil Judas Moseamedi on loan from Cape Town City.

Moseamedi spent the first half of the current campaign at Free State Stars, but he didn't have a successful spell under various coaches.

He joined Mpho Matsi whom he played with at the Citizens. Matsi signed a six-month loan deal with the Team of Choice last week.
