The Ivorian wonder kid was sent off for the first time this season after he was booked twice in quick succession

Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie was sent off in Atalanta ’s 2-0 win over Napoli in the Serie A on Saturday.

The youngster received two yellow cards in quick succession to see red in the 67th minute but Atalanta thrived and went on to win 2-0 albeit with the numerical disadvantage.

The 20-year-old received his first yellow card in the 64th minute and was cautioned again three minutes later for an obstruction and received his marching orders.

Two minutes after falling a man short, Mattia Caldara doubled Atalanta’s lead and got his second of the game to see La Dea temporarily occupy the fourth spot on the Italian top tier standings.

Kessie – who is a reported transfer target of both Manchester United and Arsenal - has been quoted saying he has a soft spot for his childhood love, United.

“I like the Premier League and dream of Manchester United,” Kessie told Tuttomercatoweb recently

“I did not hear any rumours around Roma, as I was at the Africa Cup of Nations and so focused only on playing, but I like the Premier League and in particular Manchester United, the club I dream of playing for.

“Chelsea? That is also a big club, nobody would turn them down, but I dream of United.”

It remains to be seen if Jose Mourinho will make a bid to lure the man tipped to be the next Yaya Toure to Old Trafford although he still has a long term deal with Gian Piero Gasperini’s men.
