The difference in fortunes between Chelsea and Man City this season can be summed up by the fact that 22 points separate them coming into their second encounter of the campaign.

Conte, whose Blues side battled their way to Premier League glory last term, has looked on with envy as his counterpart Guardiola cruises towards the finish line this season and he admitted that City sometimes seem "unstoppable".

"We must have great admiration. Sometimes it is very difficult to find a weakness in this team," the Blues boss said, adding: "Manchester City has the possibility to spend a lot of money. When you link this situation - a good manager, much money to spend in the transfer market, the same ambition - this is the final result."

The Italian coach finds himself under increasing pressure at Chelsea, but he could serve his detractors a reminder of his quality by getting one over on Guardiola's seemingly invulnerable team.

A win would keep them within touching distance of the top four, but failure to pick up three points will be a blow to their hopes of ensuring Champions League football next season.

Notably, however, Conte's men have had a longer period of rest than their hosts, having not played since February 25, and they will be eager to take advantage.
