Makwatta scores a brace to open account in Zambia

Makwatta scored the opening goal at the stroke of first half before smashing home his second from the penalty spot

John Makwatta was on target as Buildcon FC beat Real Nakonde 2-0 in the Zambian Super League on Saturday.

Makwatta, who joined Buildcon FC from Ulinzi Stars, scored the opener at the stroke of first half before smashing home the second goal from the penalty spot.

An elated Makwatta has revealed to Goal that he was happy to get off the mark in the league. "I have been patient enough and very happy now that I scored my first two goals for Buildcon. I want to keep scoring goals because that is my job and I hope they will start coming now."

The win pushed Buildcon to 12th position on the log after managing 26 points.
