Edmore Chirambadare has penned a one year with the newly National First Division (NFD) outfit, Maccabi FC after being released by Kaizer Chiefs at the end of last season.

In an attempt to continue playing in the Premier Soccer League (PSL), the 26-year-old Zimbabwean winger tried his luck with 2018 Nedbank Cup finalists Maritzburg United but he failed to impress Fadlu Davids during his trial.

Black Leopards were also keen in signing Chirambadare, but decided not to because they have already exhausted their foreign quota.

The Zimbabwean winger could only manage five league appearances for Chiefs last term.

He signed for the Glamour Boys in 2016 from Chicken Inn and he won the award for the most improved player at the end of the 2016/17 PSL season.

Maccabi FC, who were crowned the 2017/18 ABC Motsepe League champions, will be hoping to get the best out of Chirambadare with the little top-flight football experience he has and also adapt to the NFD football.

Chirambadare on the other hand, will be keen to revive his career in the NFD and possibly return to the PSL as soon as possible.
