The top official of the Pride of Benue has assured that they are fully prepared for the rigour of the 2018-19 season

Lobi Stars' vice chairman, Mike Idoko has asserted that the Pride of Benue will be ready for their Super Cup fixture with Enugu Rangers and other competitions they will be taking part in next season.

He said as much as they have their sights fixed on the continental task with a view to giving a good representation in Africa, they are also aware of their responsibility to defend the Nigeria Professional Football League diadem.

“We are almost set for the Super Cup which is our first official fixture this season because we have prepared a team that will be the envy of all by the time the season kicks off,” Idoko told Goal.

“We foresaw that the next league season must start this year and it was the reason we decided to start our camping early. We took the players and other officials to Ijebu Ode where they will have full concentration freed from distractions.

“We have a few preseason tournaments to take part in and thereafter we shall be poised for our first game with Enugu Rangers which we are targeting to win. We have the players we want to use for the new season and all seem set for us.”
