Liverpool's Indian-origin youngster Yan Dhanda set for Swansea City move!

Liverpool are set to lose the services of Indian-origin youngster Yan Dhanda, Goal can confirm.

The 19-year-old is close to joining Swansea City, who were recently relegated from the Premier League, after rejecting fresh terms from the Merseyside-based club.

Dhanda, who is the first player of Indian heritage to sign a professional contract with Liverpool when he penned a two-and-a-half-year contract in December 2015, decided to leave the Reds in search of first-team football.

His contract runs out at the end of the season and Dhanda chose to reject the fresh terms offered by Liverpool.

He feels he will get more senior team opportunities with the Welsh club in the Championship.

The Reds will receive £100,000 in compensation from Swansea City but Goal understands that they have also asked for a 20 per cent sell-on clause to be inserted in his contract.

Dhanda joined Liverpool's academy from West Brom in July 2013.
