Liverpool team news: Sturridge and Lallana start must-win clash

The duo’s availability for the starting XI is a big lift to Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, who is without the services of Roberto Firmino at London Stadium

Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana will line up against West Ham with Liverpool having no margin for error in their push for Champions League football.

The England striker starts his first Premier League game since the 2-2 draw with Sunderland on January 2. 

The midfielder, meanwhile, last ran out from the off in the 1-1 draw at Manchester City on March 19.

Having the pair fit enough for the first 11 at London Stadium has been a big lift to Jurgen Klopp, who is without the services of Roberto Firmino as the Reds look to record a fourth successive away victory.

The Brazilian has failed to recover from a muscle niggle, but Lucas has shaken off his concerns to be named in the squad. 

Liverpool have opted for an exciting, attacking approach with Sturridge and Divock Origi operating in tandem in a 4-4-2 diamond.

Klopp will hope it corrects their diminished powers in the final third.
