Emil Forsberg has also been pushing for a move away this summer but Ralph Rangnick believes it is all down to a lack of guidance

RB Leipzig sporting director Ralph Rangnick believes Naby Keita and Emil Forsberg are lacking the necessary guidance as the players push for a transfer.

Liverpool 8/13 to beat Watford

Guinea international Keita has expressed his desire to leave last season's Bundesliga runners-up amid huge interest from Liverpool. The Premier League side made a £66 million bid for the midfielder but will not pursue him any further, while Leipzig insist he is not for sale at any price.

Forsberg, meanwhile, who topped the Bundesliga assist charts last term with 19, has been a target for big-spending AC Milan.

Although both players are eyeing a move, Rangnick believes the situation would be a lot easier if they were being advised properly.

"There should be someone who points them into the right direction," he said at a coaching convention in Bochum.

"The boys themselves are not the problem here. It is their surroundings. A whole village in Guinea or somebody from their entourage tells the players why they must do something right away. I can't blame the players.

How does PSG signing Neymar affect FFP?

"I expect them to play for us next season. Both are extraordinary players who make the difference for our team."

Keita, 22, joined Leipzig from sister club Red Bull Salzburg in July 2016 and is contracted to the club for another three years. Forsberg, 25, has five years remaining on his contract.
