The Belgian Football Association has written to Anderlecht to provide evidence explaining Vincent Kompany's role at the club amid reports he does not have the correct papers, report Voetbal International.

It was suggested that Kompany was still making key decisions despite relinquishing managerial duties on match days to Simon Davies, which would be in violation of Belgian league regulations.

Frank Vercauteren has since been appointed head coach with Davies returning to his previous role as assistant, with Kompany's role unaffected.

Everton plotting Dembele move
