Wijnaldum explains PSG pick over Barca


Georginio Wijnaldum says he chose to join Paris Saint-Germain instead of Barcelona because the French side were faster in making an offer and he was convinced by the project.

Wijnaldum had been linked with a move to Camp Nou for months as his contract at Liverpool neared its expiration.

But PSG swooped in and announced they had signed him this week.

Juventus want Milenkovic as Demiral replacement


Juventus are looking for buyers for centre-back Merih Demiral, according to Calciomercato.

The Turkey international is not part of their plans for the future and is currently wanted by Everton and Sporting CP.

Juve, meanwhile, hope to replace him with Nikola Milenkovic, who has one year left on his contract at Fiorentina.

Atletico push to sign De Paul


Diego Simeone wants Atletico Madrid to sign Rodrigo De Paul from Udinese, says Mundo Deportivo.

Udinese are holding out for €40 million, but Atletico only offered €20m plus Nehuen Perez in exchange.

Simeone has been impressed by the midfielder and is pushing the club to get him.

Leeds are hoping to beat Norwich to the signing of Angus Gunn from Southampton.

Ajax have signed goalkeeper Jay Gorter from Go Ahead Eagles.

He had spent four years as part of Ajax's youth system before heading to AZ's academy in 2014.

After impressing in the second tier with Go Ahead Eagles, Ajax have brought the 21-year-old back and committed him to a deal that runs to 2025.

Real Madrid full-back could be in for a surprise move to Everton or Leeds, The Mirror claims.

The Brazil international is likely to be sold this summer and could be available for £5 million and the Premier League duo are interested in him.

Gianluigi Buffon may be on his way back to Parma.

Calciomercato reports the goalkeeper's destination will be decided within the next week and Parma are the favourites to get him.

Emerson could be key as Barcelona target Lautaro


Lautaro Martinez could still end up at Barcelona this summer, Sport reports.

The Argentina international has stopped talks over a new deal with Inter and Barca are eager to land him.

Although he recently moved to Camp Nou from Betis, right-back Emerson has been in talks with Inter.

If he has his heart set on a move to Italy, Barca will use him to try to talk the Italian side's asking price for Martinez down.

But before Inter can sign Emerson, they will have to sell Achraf Hakimi, which looks likely as Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are trying to get him in a big-money move.

Napoli eye Tavarez and Flemming


Napoli are considering moves for Benfica's Nuno Tavarez and Fortuna Sittard star Zian Flemming.

Sky Sport reports the Serie A side believe Tavarez would be the perfect option at left-back while Flemming impressed in the Eredivisie last season and could bolster their midfield.

Inter in talks to sign Radu from Lazio


Stefan Radu could be set to follow Simone Inzaghi to Inter from Lazio.

The Nerazzurri are looking to sign a new defender as Aleksander Kolarov will leave this summer when his contract expires.

Radu's deal is running out, too, and he has not come to an agreement over an extension with Lazio. Instead his agent is in talks with Inter, according to Calciomercato, and he could join his former Lazio boss by making the move to San Siro.

Fiorentina hope to sign Erick Gutierrez on loan from PSV, Voetbal International reports.

The Mexico international endured an injury-ravaged campaign but is fit again and the Serie A side are willing to take him.

Barca close in on Depay


Barcelona are confident of completing a free transfer for Memphis Depay next week, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Talks between the Spanish giants and the Dutch forward, who is out of contract at Lyon at the end of this month, are close to reaching a final agreement.

Barca are wary however of any last minute hitch, having been equally confident of signing Gini Wijnaldum before he made a late switch to Paris Saint-Germain instead.

Coman wants to match Lewandowski salary at Bayern


Kingsley Coman wants the same salary as Robert Lewandowski as negotiations continue over a new deal at Bayern Munich, reports Marca.

Coman has two years remaining on his current deal but remains in talks over fresh terms at the German giants.

Bayern officials are reluctant to bow to Coman's demands, though they have no intention of selling the France forward either, unless they receive a huge offer.

Moyes to oversee recruitment overhaul


David Moyes has been given the green light to revamp West Ham's scouting and recuitment network, reports Football Insider.

Moyes is on the brink of signing a new three-year contract at the Hammers and one of conditions he insisted on was increasing the club's recruitment team, including the appointment of a new director of football.

The former Everton boss was able negotiate from a position of strength having led the West Ham to a sixth place finish in the Premier League last season.

Milan agree Tonali deal


Milan have agreed a discounted deal with Brescia to sign Sandro Tonali on a permanent transfer, reports Calciomercato.

The initial loan deal cost Milan €10 million (£8.6m/$12m) with the option to make the move permanent for a further €15m (£13m/$18m) plus €10m in bonuses.

However, they have managed to negotiate a €10m discount on that original deal, with youngster Giacomo Olzer joining Brescia as part of the agreement.

Leeds in for Lang


Leeds have opened talks with Club Brugge over a deal for Netherlands U21 forward Noa Lang, according to Football Insider.

The Whites are keen to sign a young versatile forward this summer and Lang is at the top of their list, though they will likely face competition for the 21-year-old's signature.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are also expected to turn Jack Harrison's loan from Manchester City into a permanent deal next month.

Toffees eye Neto


Everton are interested in signing Barcelona goalkeeper Neto, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Toffees are on the lookout for back-up for Jordan Pickford after Robin Olsen returned to parent club Roma at the end of the season.

Neto himself is also considering his future at Barca having struggled for regular action behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen in recent seasons.

PSG agree Donnarumma deal


Paris Saint-Germain have verbally agreed a deal with Gianluigi Donnarumma, reports Fabrizio Romano.

The final touches are being put on a six-year contract for the 22-year-old goalkeeper, who will leave Milan on a free transfer at the end of the month.

PSG are working with the Italian national team to allow for Donnarumma to undergo a medical at their Euro 2020 training camp in order for them to complete the move in the coming days.

Fulham reject Mitrovic bid


Fulham have turned down a £16 million ($23m) bid from Dynamo Moscow for striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, reports the Sun.

The London club insist the Serbia international is not for sale despite their relegation from the Premier League last season.

However, Mitrovic is considering his future at the club after starting just 13 games during 2020-21 and may look to push for a transfer.

Gunners to offer Tierney new deal


Arsenal are preparing to open talks with defender Kieran Tierney over a new contract, according to Football.London.

Tierney still has three years left on his existing deal but the Gunners are keen to reward the Scotland international for a string of impressive performances since joining from Celtic in 2019.

The north London club are also confident academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe will sign fresh terms, though he isn't close to putting pen-to-paper as yet.

Jadon Sancho is set to become one of the Premier League's highest earners as Manchester United continue negotiations with Borussia Dortmund over a fee for the England winger.

The Mail reports that Sancho will earn just under David De Gea's weekly wage of £375,000 should he join the Old Trafford club, which would put him among the top five earners in the division.

United have already had a bid worth £67 million ($94m) plus add-ons rejected by Dortmund, with the German club wanting a total package in the region of £86m ($121m).

Atletico Madrid have refused a proposal from Jesus Corona's agent to sign him on a free transfer but pay the player a cash bonus, according to Record.

Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique was asked about Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland in a chat with YouTuber Ibai Llanos, and he said he would welcome the player to Spain.

However, the central defender, who has also been occasionally deployed in the midfield, is reportedly being chased by several top clubs and could prove difficult for Arsenal to lock down.

Barcelona will tell Ousmane Dembele to leave the club if he doesn't sign a new contract this summer, according to ESPN.

The French forward has just one more year on his current deal, and the Blaugrana are afraid of losing him for nothing.

Paris Saint-Germain are among the clubs rumoured to be interested in Dembele.
