If he has his heart set on a move to Italy, Barca will use him to try to talk the Italian side's asking price for Martinez down.
But before Inter can sign Emerson, they will have to sell Achraf Hakimi, which looks likely as Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are trying to get him in a big-money move.

Barca are wary however of any last minute hitch, having been equally confident of signing Gini Wijnaldum before he made a late switch to Paris Saint-Germain instead.

Moyes to oversee recruitment overhaul
David Moyes has been given the green light to revamp West Ham's scouting and recuitment network, reports Football Insider.
Moyes is on the brink of signing a new three-year contract at the Hammers and one of conditions he insisted on was increasing the club's recruitment team, including the appointment of a new director of football.
The former Everton boss was able negotiate from a position of strength having led the West Ham to a sixth place finish in the Premier League last season.
Milan agree Tonali deal
Milan have agreed a discounted deal with Brescia to sign Sandro Tonali on a permanent transfer, reports Calciomercato.
The initial loan deal cost Milan €10 million (£8.6m/$12m) with the option to make the move permanent for a further €15m (£13m/$18m) plus €10m in bonuses.
However, they have managed to negotiate a €10m discount on that original deal, with youngster Giacomo Olzer joining Brescia as part of the agreement.
Leeds in for Lang
Leeds have opened talks with Club Brugge over a deal for Netherlands U21 forward Noa Lang, according to Football Insider.
The Whites are keen to sign a young versatile forward this summer and Lang is at the top of their list, though they will likely face competition for the 21-year-old's signature.
Marcelo Bielsa's side are also expected to turn Jack Harrison's loan from Manchester City into a permanent deal next month.

PSG agree Donnarumma deal
Paris Saint-Germain have verbally agreed a deal with Gianluigi Donnarumma, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The final touches are being put on a six-year contract for the 22-year-old goalkeeper, who will leave Milan on a free transfer at the end of the month.
PSG are working with the Italian national team to allow for Donnarumma to undergo a medical at their Euro 2020 training camp in order for them to complete the move in the coming days.
Fulham reject Mitrovic bid
Fulham have turned down a £16 million ($23m) bid from Dynamo Moscow for striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, reports the Sun.
The London club insist the Serbia international is not for sale despite their relegation from the Premier League last season.

The Mail reports that Sancho will earn just under David De Gea's weekly wage of £375,000 should he join the Old Trafford club, which would put him among the top five earners in the division.
United have already had a bid worth £67 million ($94m) plus add-ons rejected by Dortmund, with the German club wanting a total package in the region of £86m ($121m).
