Napoli prepare fresh Darmian bid

Napoli are preparing a fresh bid for Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian, according to the Daily Mail.

The Serie A outfit want to take the Italy international on loan but have already had one offer knocked back by the Red Devils.

Should they fail with their second bid then they will turn their attentions towards signing Tottenham full-back Serge Aurier.

Bournemouth closing in on Lerma

Bournemouth are in advanced talks over a club-record move for Levante midfielder Jefferson Lerma, according to Sky Sports.

The Colombia international, who handed in a transfer request last week, is closing in on a move to the Vitality Stadium.

The Cherries are set to pay £27 million ($35.4m) to bring him to the Premier League.

Stoke want Williams on loan

Leonardo Bonucci, meanwhile, is heading back to Juve after the two clubs agreed a straight swap deal involving Mattia Caldara.

Chelsea bid for Zaha rejected

Chelsea have had a bid for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha turned down by the Eagles, according to The Sun.

The Blues's bid consisted of £30 million ($33.7m) plus midfielder Danny Drinkwater, but Palace are reluctant to sell the Ivory Coast international.

Tottenham remain keen on Zaha and are preparing a £45m ($50.6m) offer of their own.

Rabiot to snub Barca for PSG stay

The World Cup winner is said to have met with technical secretary Eric Abidal in LA a few days ago.

Manchester United are planning for life after Jose Mourinho by placing Zinedine Zidane at the head of a shortlist to replace the Portuguese, according to the Sun.

Mourinho has notoriously struggled in his third season at previous clubs and the Red Devils are already preparing for that eventuality this time around.

Zidane is a free agent after leaving Madrid at the end of last term, having won three straight Champions League titles at the Bernabeu.
