Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet will be making a decision on his future in the next 10 days, Goal understands, with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United among those waiting on his call.

The in-demand centre-half has seen his stock rise considerably during the 2017-18 campaign, with leading sides from across Europe having placed him on their respective summer transfer radars.

Juventus and Liverpool are also keeping a close eye on his situation, with it expected that the exit door will soon be opened at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Goal revealed back in April that Barcelona had made the 22-year-old a top target, with the Camp Nou giants prepared to trigger a €30 million release clause.

Those in Catalunya see the Frenchman as suitable cover should Samuel Umtiti or Thomas Vermaelen move on in the next window, with the likes of Ajax youngster Matthijs de Ligt also being considered.

Lenglet is aware of the intense speculation surrounding his future and has delayed making his mind up until the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

With Sevilla still hurting from their 5-0 Copa del Rey final defeat to Barcelona, the highly-rated centre-half believes that now is not the right time to be contemplating a move.

Instead, he is fully focused on a derby date with Real Betis on Saturday and an ongoing push for Europa League qualification.

Sevilla have not given up hope of persuading Lenglet to stay put, with discussions having already been opened with a man tied to a contract until 2023.

They are aware that a prized asset will not put financial motivation ahead of sporting ambition, with his career to date having already shown that development is his main concern.

Lenglet snubbed interest from Juventus in the past to remain with Nancy in Ligue 2 as he did not feel ready for such a step up.

He is still on a steep learning curve and feels happy and settled at Sevilla, with 49 appearances made across all competitions this season.

There remains no desire on his part to leap up the football ladder, while he is also prepared to bide his time in pursuit of senior international recognition with France – with the likes of Umtiti and Presnel Kimpembe ahead of him in the World Cup 2018 pecking order.

With so many factors to take into account, Lenglet will not be rushing into a decision.

D-day is fast approaching, though, with his intentions set to be revealed once derby exertions and a home date with Alaves are out of the way.
