The Premier League Golden Boot race looks set to be a closely contested affair, even if it has developed into something of a two-horse race in recent weeks.
While it's unlikely that Salah will reach the stratospheric heights of his 32 Premier League goal haul last season, the Liverpool frontman leads the way this term with 16.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang moved to within one goal of Salah with the opening strike in Arsenal's 2-1 win over Cardiff on Tuesday and 888Sport go 5/2 (3.50) that it's the Gunners' forward who ends the season topping the scoring charts.
Aubameyang now has 25 Premier League goals for the club in just 37 appearances, making the Gabonese striker the fastest player to reach that total for Arsenal.
Sergio Aguero was on the scoresheet midweek too, netting in just 24 seconds but Manchester City ultimately slipped to a shock 2-1 defeat against Newcastle. Aguero still trails Salah by five goals though and with the potential for Gabriel Jesus to share some of the workload as City continue to fight on four fronts, the 13/2 (7.50) about his overhauling that deficit makes little appeal.
While he has won two of the last three Golden Boot prizes it looks increasingly unlikely that Harry Kane will feature in the race this time around.
The Tottenham striker is only two behind on 14 strikes but the injury that looks set to rule him out until at least March could prove too much to overcome. Even if the England international returns for the North London derby on March 2 then it rules him out of four more top-flight matches.
That said, at 12/1 (13.0) with 888Sport Kane is far from being ruled out and the 25-year-old has often finished Premier League seasons in red-hot form, including netting eight times in the final three games of the 2016-17 campaign to land the prize.
Those considering backing Kane would be better served awaiting more concrete news on his return date though, especially with the potential for either, or both, of the front two pulling away over the next month or so.
888Sport believe it's unlikely that the winner comes from outside that quartet with Eden Hazard next in the betting at 40/1 (41.0). The Belgium international began the season in dazzling form but hasn't found the net in a league game since a double against Watford on Boxing Day which took him to 10.
A raft of players are available at 50/1 (51.0) including Aleksandar Mitrovic (10), Marcus Rashford (8), Raheem Sterling (10) and Callum Wilson (10).
Richarlison has also reached double figures for the campaign but he's viewed as a 100/1 (101.0) outsider.
