The Terriers are bottom of the table with just 11 points and their new manager has a tough job on his hands to keep the West Yorkshire outfit up

Huddersfield Town are 14/1 (15.0) not to be relegated this season after appointing Jan Siewert to replace David Wagner.

The Terriers have amassed just 11 points after 23 games and are bottom of the Premier League table, already 10 points from safety, with just 13 goals to their name.

Although the departure of Wagner was something of a surprise considering he led Huddersfield to the top flight for the first time since 1972, it was clear something had to change for the club to salvage anything from this season.

However, the difficulty of the job on Siewert’s hands is reflected in that 14/1 (15.0) quote from bet365 with the West Yorkshire club having claimed just a single point from their last 10 games.

Indeed, it is 1/33 (1.03) that Huddersfield’s Premier League tenure ends after two years after surviving by four points last term despite flirting with relegation almost the entire campaign.

Siewert, who was brought in from Borussia Dortmund II, the German club’s reserve team, makes his bow against Everton on Saturday afternoon and the Terriers are 3/1 (4.0) underdogs to take the points.

The German will certainly have an air of confidence about him considering his new club were able to take a point from Goodison Park earlier in the season.

As well, Everton have lost six of their 11 games away from home this season and although Huddersfield have certainly not set the league alight, they will hope for a new manager bounce akin to that of Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Hasenhuttl took over a struggling Southampton side in December and has gone on to take 13 points from a possible 27, moving Saints from 18th up to 15th in that time.
