Last-minute Sol Bamba secures victory for Cardiff City

Sol Bamba scored a dramatic late winner as his strike helped Cardiff City to a 2-1 comeback victory over Brighton and Hove Albion.

The visitors took the lead through Lewis Dunk’s header in the sixth minute, but the Bluebirds equalised through Callum Paterson profited from a left-sided free-kick from Victor Camarasa.

Brighton looked toothless after Dale Stephens was sent off for a serious foul play after he tore into Greg Cunningham.

And in the closing minutes of the encounter, Bamba smashed home the winner following a goalmouth scramble inside the Seagulls’ penalty area.

The Cote d’Ivoire international has now scored two English Premier League goal after his first in Cardiff’s 4-1 defeat to Chelsea on September 15, 2018.

Neil Warnock's men remain in the relegation zone with eight points from 12 games, and they travel to Goodison Park for their tie versus Everton on November 24.
