Larsen not bothered by Golden Arrows slump in form

Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen says they are not concerned with their recent slump in form.

“I am not worried because every team goes through these periods where you get points and then you don’t get the results you want as a team,” Larsen told Goal.

Abafana Bes'thende have dropped to seventh spot following a defeat and draw to Free State Stars and Chippa United respectively in their last league encounters.

The struggling side hasn’t been at full strength most of the time this season as they boast a very small squad, with key players like Lehlohonolo Nonyane still out on the sidelines.

“If you look throughout the league teams go through these phases, but we are not concerned because we have never been at full strength as a team. We have a very small squad,” Larsen said.

“We haven’t had Nonyane for the better part of the season and he’s an integral part of the team and we have also been thin up-front,” Larsen concluded.

Abafana Besthende welcome Maritzburg United to the Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday and with both sides just a place above each other, it’s a clash neither can afford to lose.
