KPL transfers: Tusker sign Sony Sugar attacker

Charles Obiny has revealed to Goal that Amos Asembeka has been handed a three year contract to ditch the sugar millers

Tusker have sealed the signing of Sony Sugar attacker Amos Asembeka.

The brewers’ official Charles Obiny has revealed to Goal that Asembeka has been handed a three year contract to ditch the sugar millers. “We have signed Asembeka for three years. He will be part of our squad for the 2018 season.”

Obiny also confirmed that the former champions have signed Edwin Lavatsa, who was released by Bandari at the end of last season. Tusker are in a rebuilding process after releasing 14 players in December.

Apart from hiring a new coach in Ugandan Sam Timbe, the brewers have also unveiled six signings among them Lawrence Kasadha, who crossed into the Kenyan league from Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).

Others are Timothy Otieno, who lifted the league title with Gor Mahia last season, former Nakumatt FC captain Peter Nzuki, Mathew Odongo, who joined from Kariobangi Sharks and Erick Ambunya, roped in from Kakamega Homeboyz.

Tusker new signings so far: Lawrence Kasadha (KCCA-Uganda), Edwin Lavatsa (Bandari), Timothy Otieno (Gor Mahia), Peter Nzuki (Nakumatt), Mathew Odongo (Kariobangi Sharks), Amos Asembeka (Sony Sugar) and Erick Ambunya (Kakamega Homeboyz).
