KPL transfers: Ex-Tusker captain lands at Kakamega Homeboyz

Club boss Cleophas Shimanyula has exclusively revealed to Goal that the former Tusker FC captain has signed a one year deal

Kakamega Homeboyz have sealed the signing of defender James Situma.

Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has exclusively revealed to Goal that the former Tusker captain has signed a one year contract to join the side.

“We have finalized the deal to bring Situma to our squad for this season. He is a very good player with leadership skills that we have lacked in previous seasons. He has joined on a one-year contract and I am happy to welcome him on board."

Situma was among 14 players, who were released by the former champions in late December. Shimanyula has also confirmed that striker Allan Wanga has joined the club on a three year contract.

“We have handed Wanga a three year contract after fruitful negotiations. We are serious about competing for the league title this season and that is why we have handed him this opportunity to share his experiences with us.”

Homeboyz have also signed Noah Wafula, formerly of Tusker, and the club chairman now says they are done with the transfer activities. “I don’t think we will now be involved in the transfer market. We have signed the players we wanted and are now good to go this season.”

Homeboyz will use Bukhungu Stadium as their home ground this season.
