Komphela: Kaizer Chiefs are looking hungry

Kaizer Chiefs are fresh off a superb PSL victory against Free State Stars in midweek and they are now set to take on Maritzburg United in a league game at the Harry Gwala Stadium.

The Soweto giants will be boosted by the return of duo George Lebese and Tsepo Masilela.

Chiefs head coach Steve Komphela expressed his satisfaction of having the 28-year-old winger back in action as it will bolster his options.

“We welcome George Lebese back in the squad,” Komphela told the official Chiefs website.

“George has fully recovered from a back fracture injury and has worked his way back in the squad. Lebese’s return will give us options in the selection.”

“Watching United play under Roger de Sa, one can already see their danger, especially with their tall forwards,” Komphela said.

“Our preparations have gone according to plan. The players are looking good and hungry to maintain the winning momentum.”

“Our aim is to keep pace with the leading pack in the log,” Komphela said.

“It is getting tight at this stage of the league marathon and it will be important to go for maximum points from the remaining matches.”

“Tsepo has recovered from the groin injury and travelled with the team to Maritzburg,” Komphela concluded.
