Kimanzi: Mathare United playing best football in KPL

Mathare United coach Francis Kimanzi believes that his charges are playing better football than many teams in the league.

Statistics however, is not in favour of Kimanzi’s assertion with his side currently rooted bottom of Kenyan Premier League with only 12 points after 16 rounds of matches.

Mathare United last posted a win on April 30 against former champions, Gor Mahia but Kimanzi still thinks that his squad plays better than most top teams. “I think we are playing better football than many teams but still we can’t get the result that we want.

"We need 100% results that can be a huge reward for the job that we are doing. We are in the process of building a team. We have seen some good development from the players we acquired in June and they are proving to be important additions to the team,” Kimanzi told club's official website.

The ‘Slum Boys’ are going through a bad spell, having gone for eight games without a win.
