Khune to captain Bafana Bafana against Guinea-Bissau and Angola

The Ventersdorp-born shot-stopper has been confirmed as the captain of the national team once again

The South African Football Association (Safa) on Tuesday confirmed that Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune will captain Bafana Bafana against Guinea-Bissau and Angola.

Bafana will meet the Guineans in an international friendly on Saturday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Before taking on the Angolans in another international friendly four days later in East London.

Thulani Hlatshwayo, Dean Furman and Hlompho Kekana have been appointed as his vice-captains by Bafana interim coach Owen Da Gama.

All of them except Kekana have worn the national team armband.
