Keagan Dolly closing in on Montpellier return

South Africa international Keagan Dolly is closing in on a return to full fitness ahead of the 2017/18 French Ligue 1 campaign.

The Montpellier playmaker has found life tough in the South of France since making his move during the 2017 January transfer window.

However, with a new coach at the helm in Michel Der Zakarian following the departure of Jean-Louis Gasset after only six months in charge, the 24-year-old will be eager to impress.

According to reports in France, Dolly has resumed training after as he continues to recover from a knee injury which saw him miss a large portion of La Paillade’s pre-season training.

Last week, he played a few minutes against both Association Sportive de Saint-Etienne Loire and Olympique Lyonnais respectively.

Although, Dolly will welcome the much-needed game time, it should be noted that he has still not been judged as being fully fit, and it remains to be seen whether he will feature in Montpellier’s season opener against Caen on Saturday night.
